Galley Tour

Today we watched the head chef on the ship cook some dishes. He made eggplant parmigiana and salmon ravioli. The smell was wonderful! I would have loved to try them for lunch.

Then the pastry chef made a Black Forest cake - sometimes it's better not to know just how much cream is in a cake!

Then we went on a tour of the galley. There are 2000 passengers and 800 crew on board. Every day over 8000 meals are prepared! I can't imagine cooking that amount of food.

Love the sign. It captures one of the unique challenges of dining on a moving vessel.
